About me

I was born in Baghdad, Iraq in 1980. Came to Canada in 2005. Currently living in Calgary, Alberta.

I'm a Mandaean, and there are not many here in Calgary besides our family.

When I'm not working; then I would be researching an idea. Which usually involves some kind of a modification to my car.
I have a 2011 BMW 328i N52 which I bought brand new back in 2011. And I have been working on a very custom headunit project that's been ongoing for far too long now.
Bought myself a coding app for BMW and I have been helping many people modify and diagnose their cars.

My childhood was marked by frequent travels due to my father's career as a maritime officer. From sailing the Amazon River on a super tanker in the mid-80s to crossing the Atlantic Ocean twice in one trip, I've been fortunate to explore different parts of the world and develop a deep affinity for the sea.

I had the opportunity to see the world's longest oil tanker, the Seawise Giant in 1990 docked at a port in France.
It was only a few hundred meters away from our ship. A sight I would never forget. I only hope that one day I would be able to take my family and revisit some of the places I have been to.

I'm fluent in Arabic and English, writing and speaking. I do, once in a while, write some poetry in Arabic.
